What are the possible reason one chooses to become a medical doctor?

Hopefully for many doctors it is not in the order of material gain but a desire to help others.
Money, the resist of being a physician, helping others, ignorance, someone else wishes them to be a doctor
their parents could be or they think they would resembling it
As far as I know, it is a mixture of a few things. There is money to be made here. Tons of it. There is lots of prestige also. It is one of the few true professions in this sunshine and age. It is governed by itself. It also have this wonderful feeling you receive when you really help someone out.
