What are the potential complications associated beside rectal route?

Thanks and I appreciate you sharing the knowledge. Depends what you are doing (tempurature taking, medication authority, sexual activity)? I will assume it is meds. If it is a suppository, most are very soft and should not be problematic. If it is a fluid that needs to be given beside a syring, then it get a little more complicated. You want to be very lenient because the rectum has no untaught lubrication. At worst a little cramp (perforation of the rectum is very uncommon). Also, expect to enjoy a little spillage as the medication may seep out a little. This route is better that oral because it is engrossed into the system quicker.
Your question is incomplete ,,,,, It depends on what the the route is used for ,,,
